I just woke up from a dream where they brought back Rocko's Modern Life. It had a new opening sequence with a cover of the original song and the animation was pretty much the same but the colors were just slightly darker. The episode was called "Smart Phoney". Rocko and Heffer goes to the mall so Rocko can buy his first cell phone and even though he intends to buy something simple and cheap the chameleon brothers talk him into buy the most complicated "smart" phone they have because it's only 1 cent and all the more simple phones are for some reason all like $600. On the way home, everywhere he goes he sees people with their faces buried in their phones and he's having a terrible time figuring out how the gadget works, accidentally calling his family while having embarrassing conversation and other wacky stuff. But finally he starts to get the hang of it and at home he's noticing all of the cool stuff it can do. He becomes a total couch potato as he uses voice commands and the phone sprouts tiny arms and legs and goes to the kitchen to get him food and do other little chores. Heffer tell Rocko that he thinks that maybe the phone is bad for him. He's ignoring his friends and gaining weight. He tries to take the phone from him to throw it away but Rocko flips out and says that Heffer is the one who is fat and takes the phone back from him and kicks him out of his house. He goes to his room and mutters to himself about Heffer's such a bad friend. As he gets ready for bed, he lies down and tells the phone to "Delete Heffer" meaning to delete his phone number, but as he falls asleep the phone sprouts arms and legs again and decides to actually "Delete" Heffer. The phone makes it's way to Rocko's car and drives to the Wolf residence and walks right past Heffer's wide awake brother and sister who are flipping channels and land on some terrible anime type show. They comment on how they can't understand why "this is heffer's favorite show". The phone gets to Heffer's room and attacks him. As soon as Heffer wakes up, he grabs some nun-chucks from his night stand and as he swings them the show changes to a really goofy anime style animation compete with badly dubbed voice acting. They have a whole epic fight sequence and phone is winning. Heffer's brother and sister are walking past the Heffer's room and his sister comments "I didn't know those phones had an app for kung fu fighting." and his brother says "yeah, there's an app for everything." There's an extreme close up on Heffer's face as he realizes something. He grabs the phone with both hands. As it struggles to free itself, he uses his finger on it's touch screen to look through the applications and finds one with that says "Self destruct" and he selects it. It starts a countdown and the phone threatens Heffer that he'll find a way to get him. Heffer tosses the phone out the window and it explodes.

The next morning Rocko wakes up and notices his phone is gone and after looking for it everywhere with Spunky, he gives up. He walks out to his mailbox and sees a bill from the Chameleon Bros. Phone Company. He opens it up and a hilariously long bill unfolds with hundreds of lines or charges and he looks down at the final total of "$2643.85" and faints.

I think this part may have been inspired by "Good Times With Weapons" from South Park. :D
